Gerd Hansen
Gerd Hansen studied law and German literature in Freiburg, Seville and at Humboldt-University in Berlin. In 2001/2002 he served as an academic assistant to Professor Wandtke, Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Department Humboldt-University. Moreover he gained valuable practical experience in the field of intellectual property law by completing internships with the German Federal Ministry of Justice and with several IP-law-firms.
Gerd Hansen graduated in 2003 and joined Creative Commons in April 2004. Apart from his work on the iCommons project, he received a scholarship from the Max-Planck-Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law in Munich where he is working on his doctoral dissertation concerning the "Legal Framework of Open Access".
