Campaigner and journalist. International Coordinator of Greenpeace Internationals Genetic Engineering Campaign. Previously Toxics Coordinator, Greenfreeze Campaigner and magazine editor of Greenpeace Germany.
Before joining Greenpeace served one legislative period (84-89) as Member of the European Parliament (Green Party, Germany), where he specialized in genetic engineering issues. Founder of the Gen-ethic Network in Germany in 1987.
Previous to that worked as journalist in Berlin for "Die Tageszeitung", published books and essays in various magazines. Previous to that edited a local bi-weekly political magazine in Berlin and was the owner of a printing and publishing company. Studied philosophy and psychology in Tübingen and Berlin. Born in Stuttgart in 1957.
