Jean-Claude Guedon Jean-Claude Guedon is a Ph. D. in history of science who teaches in the comparative literature department of the Université de Montréal in Canada.
He has been involved with e-publishing since the late 1980's, having founded the first electronic scholarly journal in Canada in 1991. He works on open access through both the Information Sub-Board of the Open Society and through eIFL.net.
He is also actively involved in the free software movement, for example by being a member of the francophone association AFUL.
